Backstage at Charlotte Ronson: Undone Ballerina
I went backstage at Charlotte Ronson's spring/summer 2010 show to check out the beauty looks and they were gorgeous: Just-out-of-class Juilliard ballet student--wispy, slightly messy buns and pretty, naturally flushed pink cheeks and lips.
Avon did the hair. People think Avon's just makeup, but they have anAMAZING hair line and everything is incredibly under $10! The starproduct of the show was the Salon Volume finishing spray--thestylists used it both to prep the models' hair and to set the bun inthe end. To finish, they used boar-bristles brushes to create wispyalmost-tendrils around the crown of the head.
I also lovedthe makeup. The look Maybelline was going for was very feminine andsimple. The key products for this naturally glowy look: No. 15 Color Sensational lipcolor in Born With It, a swipe of Lash Stiletto Mascara just on the upper lashes, and Mineral Power Naturally Luminous Blush (which was dusted all over). I watched Charlotte Willer create this look in about 4 minutes. It was super easy, really!
Stay tuned for Cat's video with Maybelline's Charlotte Willer for more details.
