The Scene: Pier 94, an airplane-hangar-size warehouse-like space with utilitarian white benches lining the entire length of the venue.
The Celebs: Rachel McAdams, Courtney Love, Kim Gordon, Pixie Geldof, Devon Aoki, Harley Viera Newton
The Music: Techno marching band with some Missy Elliott thrown in
The Swag: A black top from Wang's T line and a Gilt Groupe gift card
The Models: Lily Donaldson, Angela Lindvall, Isabeli Fontana, Freja Beha, Abbey Lee, Karlie Kloss, and Frankie Rayder among other Alex Wang model bff's
The Look: Wang took a bunch of inherently unalluring themes and gave them his sexy/street spin. Military, aviator, and varsity football/baseball silhouettes all got mixed with leather pieces like shorts and vests, high-waisted underwear and v-cut bras and crisscross/netting bondage details. The was lots of grey sweatshirting also made uber-sexy and many of the looks were finished with either pony-skin leopard print open-toe wedges or open-toe lace-up fold over military boots. The hair was a long side-swept braid and as has been the trend this week, the models had barely-there makeup.
What We Loved: Linen denim trousers with a sweatshirt double waist; cleverly-detailed white poplin shirts; black lingerie shorts with a chiffon overlay
