Fashion Week Scorecard: DKNY
The Show: DKNY
The Scene: Donna Karan-owned red brick carriage house in the West Village
The Celebs: Poppy Delevigne and Jameela Jamil (new London "It Girl" now filling Alexa Chung's shoes on UK television slot T4)
The Models: Donna's usual crop of young faces with blue eyelashes, simple ponytails and cheery attitudes
The Look: Urban garden party: florals--both scribbled and abstract--invibrant colors, played off city neutrals. All the DKNY staples were present--side-wrapped dresses, little skirt and shorts suits, boyish blazers, andshift dresses--alongside a sequin floral romper, a bold floralbalmacaan (pictured below), flower-print sweatshirts and a variety of washed silkpieces. Bike shorts made an appearance, peeking out from under suitingshorts and dresses. Bi-color strappy stilettos and chain-stitched bags with multifunctional straps finished the looks.
What We Loved: All of the happy colors and pattern mixing should inspire lots of spring shopping.
