Fashion Week Scorecard: Zac Posen
The Show: Zac Posen
The Scene: The Altman Building, which was set up to look like an old time supper club with a curvy runway, low lighting, and great ballroom chairs in shades of reds and pinks.
The Celebs: Rachel Zoe, Margherita Missoni
The Music: Mark Ronson (making it a full week for the Ronson family--Samantha DJ'd her sister Charlotte's show the other day)
The Models: Coco, Vlada, Irina, Alana, Behati, Siri, Hana, et al all doing their best '40s starlet walks
The Look: The perennial Posen old-Hollywood glamour was no surprise, but this season it was modernized with contrasting color blocks (think plum/sky and marigold/azalea) in shapely little dresses and jackets; oversize lattice work; and bright see-through raincoats. There was a lot of rainbow bright marabou, and the color explosion extended to the sexy Manolo stilettos. Of course, there were Zac's signature gowns, now with the added bonus of feeling more real-person wearable than in seasons' past.
What We Loved: The knit gowns and the twill day dresses
