Maayan Zilberman's European Vacation: Everyone's a Designer
I don't go for really fancy bags--I inevitably get blue pen on them. But it's always hard to find purses that are equally trend-free and utilitarian while still combining references to my two favorite things: military/space gear and '90s Fly Girls.
Then I found Build a Bag, based in London and run by Bill Amberg, where you can combine your own materials and hardware. He also keeps an amazing blogabout his process, and he stays true to fine components, which I appreciate.
My favorite is the Shuttle Bag.
