Le Creuset: Wanted And Worth The Splurge

Did you guys see Julie & Julia ? I did, and ever since then I've had intense cravings for beef bourguignon and new Le Creuset pots, which are all Julia uses to cook with in the movie.

I have a big dutch oven I got as a wedding present (a gift I loved so much I ended up buying one for my eBay/Etsy blogging buddy Jennifer when she got married last year) and it's hands-down the most awesome thing in my kitchen. It heats up really quickly and evenly, and the end result of this is somehow I don't burn things as easily, and in my (very unscientific) research I swear the food that comes out of it just tastes better. Plus, I love the way it looks sitting out on the stove. On Williams Sonoma's site I noticed they have an exclusive on the line in this super-chic slate grey, a color I'd never seen before. It also happens to be on sale--this use-it-for-everything, have-it-forever pot is marked down from $310 to $189.99.
