My Favorite Fashion-Week Hair: Long Side Braids
Amidst a sea of ballerina buns and topknots this Fashion Week, I loved this look for its understated prettiness.
Both took a slight spin off the classic style: At Alexander Wang, the braids had a beachy, wavy feel with a deep side part and loose, rumpled layers swept to the side. Stylists prepped the models' hair with Bumble and bumble surf spray to create texture and volume. The look at Hayden-Harnett was decidedly more polished; again with the deep side part, but the sleek, straight hair was woven in neat long fishtail braids secured with a strap of leather, elegant in a subtly-channeling-Pocahontas way.
