New Collaboration: Loeffler Randall and Costello Tagliapietra
Exactly one month after officially launching its revamped online presence, Loeffler Randall has announced another exciting expansion: a collaboration with fellow Brooklyn-based designers Jeffrey Costello and Robert Tagliapietra. The resulting shoes were featured in the Costello Tagliapietra spring 2010 runway show last Friday and also serve as a preview of Loeffler Randall's first-ever resort collection.
That's not all: Those two styles from the upcoming resort 2010 collection are available for pre-order right now on Loeffler Randall's e-commerce site. "Lula," a platform pump with on-trend exposed side zipper, and "June," a lace-up ankle boot with a slight wedge heel (styled with cuffs turned down above right), are expected to ship by the end of October.
"I have long been a fan of Jeffrey Costello and Robert Tagliapietra'selegant, understated line Costello Tagliapietra," wrote Jessie Randall, the company's founding president and creative director, wrote on the Loeffler Randall blog. "I love the intricate, hidden detailing inside their garments, the rich fabrics they use andthe fact that they live in my old neighborhood, Carroll Gardens. Then Imet and became friends with Robert through the CFDA. I was so honoredwhen he asked us to make the shoes for his Spring 2010 fashion show."
Bonus: As we noted when the site launched, through October 1, 2009, Loeffler Randall will donate a portion of its online sales to Living India, a non-profit organization.
