JF & Son Storefront: New, Very Cool Downtown Store!
Keep your eye on this new downtown boutique: JF & Son Storefront is opening tomorrow, and it's sure to become a stand-by source for arty, forward-thinking designs.
JF & Son first made a name for itself creating custom fabrics--textilesthat are modern-looking but made the old-fashioned way, by hand-weaversthroughout India. The Storefront will host JF & Sonclothing (above, pieces from the fifth collection) as well as the label's debut collaborations with other NYC designers. Opening the store will be a project in partnership with vintage store owner Ellen Koenigsberg; coming upfor fall, expect a quilting project by feminist artist Ulrike Mullerand a pop-up shop called K8 Hardy's MFT (My Favorite Things). We can'twait to see what they have in store.
