Postcard From Milan: Armani, D&G
Fashion director Hope Greenberg reports from the runways of Milan.
Giorgio Armani showed his main collection in the plush, swanky theater of his giant headquarters. He kept it young with lots of bubble-y little skirts and cocktail dresses, and almost everything was paired with flats.
D&G came next with a sexywestern theme. All the faded denim you could ever want: loose jeans, strapless minidresses with ruffled skirts, snap-front shirts and even atight, distressed onesie. There was cream lace and lots of eyelet tokeep it feminine and some western-detailed (leather lapels and piping)men's suiting. Loved the studded cowboy boots and the mirrored aviatorsthat finished the looks.
