Apart from 'The Oregon Trail' on Apple IIGS and barricading my brother in a closet and forcefeeding him cough syrup ("jail", I called it), my favorite playtime activity was Barbies: I had about 30 and dressed them all like "Pretty Woman" extras--though unlike noble Vivian, they did kiss on the mouth (constantly!). My latest fixation is the new Barbie Loves Stila makeup for fall.

The collection is full of bright, lovely shades (the lip glosses are available now;you have to wait until mid-September for the rest). Color me crazy, butisn't that electric blue smudge pot just BEGGING to be smeared wildlyaround one's eyes for a hot Skipper-on-an-underage-Nuvo-drunken-rampage look?
