Spotted on the Runway: Christian Siriano's New Shoes for Payless

Former Project Runway contestant Christian Siriano unveiled his new spring 2010 line for Payless at his runway show today in Bryant Park. The shoes--and bags--were inspired by "the notion of luxurious Mediterranean travel (something we're sure he'd like to enjoy post-Fashion Week).

The sky-high platform pumps and ankle booties that came down the runway all featured a talon-like heel and came in nude, brown, blue, and maroon faux-patent and python. Celebrities are already fans: Many of the women in the front row--including Tori Spelling and 30 Rock 's Katrina Bowden--were sporting Siriano for Payless fall/winter 2009. The bag, below, will also be part of the cheap-chic collection!

The Payless shoes the designer showed on the runway last season were just as fierce, but were toned down a bit before they hit stores--so don't expect to find exact replicas of these heels at a mall near you.
