A Do or a Don't? Black Pleather Leggings

In my estimation, black leather-like leggings could very well belong in a game of Would You Rather. I mean...terrifying. But not because I don't like them--just because I don't think I could ever pull them off.

That said, I'm almost tempted to try. And at $34.99, this I Heart Ronson pair seems like a good place to start (though I'll be leaving the confusingly strange gloves on the model behind)--may as well test-drive the trend in an affordable way before committing, right?

Have you guys tried them out? Any tips on mastering this look? I would definitely pair it with something voluminous and drape-y up top, just to balance out the proportion. And I would make them less rocker-ish by adding a pair of pretty pumps.

Meanwhile, I'm also digging this fake leather bomber jacket (nicely priced at $49.99).
