Banana Republic Rocks The Best Chinos For Spring

I know it's early (way, way early), but I'm already starting the countdown to spring. Having just spent three solid weeks, morning to night, reviewing what my wardrobe choices will be for the upcoming season (well, I guess my intended purpose for being at shows was to review what we'll be shooting for Lucky , my personal edit being a by-product), I'm looking forward to an upcoming period of effortless dressing.

I'm thinking that for work, weekend, and travel, my go-to staples forspring will be silk separates on their own or mixed with other simplepieces. I'm also thinking that one of my first shopping stops will beBanana Republic.

Last week, in a pretty, low-key fashion show, Banana creative directorSimon Kneen showed that his brand is leading the charge of what, in hisprogram notes, he calls "refined American sportswear with buoyantease." Who doesn't want to throw on drawstring silk pants, slouchyblazers, chambray everything, and the softest little leather jackets?

AND, something I've been missing in my closet for the past couple ofyears...Banana Republic is bringing chinos back. While I was watchingthe show I was calculating the endless combinations I'll be able tomake with the khaki zipper capri ones (pictured below).
