I am a firm believer in the transformative powers of a statement scarf, particularly as the cold weather arrives. It serves the same purpose as a necklace, really, but it's much cozier.

I believe so strongly that it can make an outfit, then I did a TV segment about it (plus skinny belt, plus red lipstick), and gave myself an on-air makeover (applying red lipstick on air = awkward!).

But I digress. American Eagle has some super cute ones on sale, like this blue and white check version ($4.95!) and this buffalo plaid style ($6.95). It's really one of those items where I just don't think you can have enough.
