How can I find a good dermatologist/Botox administrator? I don'tknow anyone who will admit to using Botox, so word-of-mouth isn'tavailable. Thanks, Doctor!

When word of mouth is not available, check a list of board-certified dermatologists in your area. You can go online to the Allergan website to find physicians who are experienced in the treatment and administration of Botox.

What skin products are really necessary to use daily and whose do you recommend? Is there a product that really helps the brown spots?

I recommend sunscreen (at least SPF30) every day, an antioxidant cream in the morning to fight free radical damage, as well as various products containing hydroquinone or arbutin to lighten the skin. Remember, no products will effectively lighten skin without the use of sunscreen on a daily basis. I also recommend peptide or retinol creams at night to help increase collagen production. Of course I have my own collection of products, dr. brandt skincare available at Sephora.com and drbrandtskinare.com. If you're interested in drugstore brands, look at Olay.

Will people in my office be able to tell if I get a little injection to plump my upper lip? How many days do I need to hide out to avoid looking like I obviously just had work done to it, and is there anything I can do to speed up the recovery time? What should I ask my doctor for to ensure that the final result is natural-looking? Because if my boss notices, I'll literally DIE. Thanks!

Usually the best options for the lips are hyaluronic acid fillers like Juvederm or Restylane. If done appropriately, there will be a little swelling for the first 24 hours, but after that the lips should appear fairly normal. Probably the best day to do this would be on a Friday, so by Monday, all swelling will be resolved and the lip will be in its camera-ready state. Have the weekend to recuperate. Aspirin, vitamin E and fish oil should all be avoided as they can cause increased bruising--and be as gentle as possible with your lips after treatment, as touching or pressing the area can also cause more swelling.
