Do You Customize Your Lipcolor?
Cristina just blogged about the perfect perfume mashup, but what about lipstick mashups?
The other day, Cat revealed that she layers Tarte's super hot-pink lipsheer in Reuse under YSL's super-red Rouge Volupte #16 lipstick. The result: The reddest lips you can imagine, and the lipsheer makes it last for hours. Cristina blends Duprey Hydralush lipstain with Nivea A Kiss of Shine gloss in red. While the stain goes in a berryish direction, the gloss helps brighten it up.
Right now my favorite lipstick mashup is a layer of original Burt's Bees as a base, then a few haphazard dots of MAC's Dark Side lipstick (which is slightly brick red), plus a few more dots of NARS lipstick in Fast Ride (this is more blackberry). Then I basically rub it all off with my finger; it leaves this natural berry matte tint on my lips, which I love. It's an un-lipstick lipstick effect.
