Etsy: The Romance Isn't Dead, It's Just Hiding

Last night, while my husband and I were sitting on the couch watching America's Next Top Model and eating takeout from Mr. Pita, I had a revelation. I was looking kind of gross, wearing a top knot, paint-(and, alright, at one point, hummus) splattered leggings and a ripped, baggy t-shirt that's older than some members of High School Musical . All of a sudden, I looked around and realized we were in grave danger of becoming the Flight of the Conchords song, "Business Time"and that this was not OK.

It's not like anyone intends to become too comfortable with a partner (no more than those annoying couples mean to start talking baby talk "schmoopie"), but it happens and, when it does, sometimes you need to fight back. So, I'm going to buy some sexy underwear*, stat, perhaps cook a nice dinner that will not be eaten on the couch, and, though he doesn't complain (really about any of this stuff, because he's awesome), I'm also going to stop making my husband watch America's Next Top Model --'cause let's face it anyway, the show has gotten lame.
