Etsy: Wild accessories for tame outfits

Lately, I've been really loving the idea of pairing simple basics--favorites right now: a black cashmere turtleneck and cuffed-up trousers--with some slightly crazy, almost tacky '80s vintage accessories.

Specifically, I'm into weird animal pieces, like this ominous poison snake ring, a sparkly serpent bangle and these super-perfect, Carrington-esque,ram's head earrings. All are the kinds of glam-fun items that you can bust out for years to give a look a little lift and character. And all are cheap enough that, if this jewelry whim is a colossal failure, you won't feel like you're an impulsive dummy who buys terrible things.
