I want this wardrobe: Hilary Swank in Amelia

Fulfilling my fall resolution to see more movies, I saw two over the weekend: The Informant! and Whip It . Both were fine and good, and the latter was especially cute, but the real highlight of my cinematic experience was the preview I saw twice for the new Hilary Swank movie Amelia.

Now, it's true that I'm not alone in this obsession (Lucky editors have been fixated on all things Amelia Earhart since our September issue). But still: Putting aside the fact that the actress appears to be wearing a bad, kind of geriatric, wig, this movie's costuming looks pretty much perfect--just a great mix of tomboy-ish, slick, feminine and cool. I am now totally jonesing for '30s-style dresses, checked shirts, brown leather bombers, silk scarves and, maybe, just maybe, a cloche hat (though I'd settle for pearls and that rust-colored sweater frock, for sure). I believe all of these items can be handily
