Blast From the Past: Lacoste 101 Sunglasses

The phrase "'80s revival" can give me a mild case of the heebie-jeebies. I start to remember my neon fanny pack and my nightly prayers for the perfect perm. But not all '80s fashion was that tacky. Flashback to 1980: the golden age of tennis and the year of Lacoste's eyewear launch.

The smash hit of the collection was a pair of aviators called "101" which are now being relaunched in celebration of its 30th anniversary. Only 1,000 are being produced worldwide; they will be sold in boutiques such as Colette and Dover Street Market starting in December. Stateside, the 101 will be at Lacoste flagship stores and online. In my opinion, you can't get more classic than the perfect aviator.
