At my Christian Louboutin appointment here in Paris, I got a sneak peek at the atelier where they create all of the couture shoes and made to measure.

Hanging along the wall are lasts they keep on hand for celebs such as Dita Von Teese, Renee Zellweger, Nicole Kidman and many others.

There was a cobbler diligently at work while I was there. Every pair is made by hand and can take up to two weeks, depending on the style. Talk about keeping the spirit of couture alive!
