Surprise! Project Runway's Still Good and (Even) Inspiring

When I heard that Project Runway was moving to Lifetime last year, I was devastated. I thought the channel--best known for original movies with spooky titles like She Woke Up Pregnant and Mother, May I Sleep With Danger? --would turn one of my favorite shows into a freaky estro-fest starring Meredith Baxter Birney. But mostly, so far this season, PR has remained the same. Sometimes, I even like it better.

Last Thursday's show was particularly inspiring. The designers had to create a look based on a famous location--spots like Palm Beach, Hollywood, Santa Fe, and Greece. I loved contestant Gordana's glam "New York" dress possibly the best. It had the coolest, removable crystal neckpiece, and it made me want a similarly feminine, pretty, outfit-making necklace right away. You know where one can find such a thing? J.Crew. You know where one can find it on the cheap? Ebay. Today I tracked down this, this, andthis and am going to bid on one--or all--right away.
