The Boots That Will Take Me Through Winter
One of the travails of spending your days in stores is that you succumb to many a shopping whim. Case in point, these ankle booties, which I bought in the Boston Madewell store on Tuesday (in black) and also in the Philadelphia Madewell store last night (in gray).
And this is why: They're made of super-soft, supple leather in the bestshade of gray and they are so incredibly comfortable that I wore themfor 14 hours yesterday without any pain at all. At $198 (via Shopbop),they're extremely well-priced for the quality. I'm anticipating thatI'll be wearing them all fall, with tights and cuffed straight-legjeans, and with tights and skirts.
Tip: They're sized big, so go down half a size (i.e., I'm a 9.5, but I bought them in 9).
