Yet Another Excellent, Affordable Winter Coat
Over the weekend, a friend told me he'd heard that scientists were predicting this winter would be record-breakingly cold. I'm too chicken to Google for more info on the subject in fear that he's right, though I can't stop obsessing over what I'm going to wear if it's true. Which really might just be an excuse to hunt for another winter coat.
I know that when temperatures seriously drop, I'm going to need to bust out my big down parka, but in the meantime, I keep thinking about wool coats with toggles, to replace one I bought years ago from A.P.C. that's on its last leg. Lord and Taylor has one by Michael Kors that I keep clicking back to. It has that classic, sort-of-70's, sort-of-Paddington-Bear vibe I like, but the lean, boxy shape keeps it modern. I also dig the hood, which I find more convenient than having to remember to wear hat. There are three, equally versatile neutral colors to choose from (black, charcoal, and camel, the latter of which I'm leaning toward), and all are on sale at the moment from $290 to $174.
