Caroline Rogers of It Looks Good To Me: Best Dressed

We're completely enamored with textile designer Caroline Rogers' recently launched blog Itlooksgoodtome.com--so much so that we featured Rogers in our December issue. Not only is her taste exquisite, but her illustrations (which accompany every post) are pretty gorgeous, too. We've tapped her to guest blog all this week on Lucky Right Now.

Hello! I am so excited to be here posting on Lucky Right Now. Your responses to the magazine have already been wonderful and I am thrilled to be blogging on the site. As I said on my blog, I've been bitten by the holiday bug a little early this year so, over the course of the week, I'll be posting about my favorite holiday clothing, accessories, and gifts.

I don't know about you, but I always use the holiday season as an excuse to buy a new party dress. See, I love getting all dressed up--but my regular day-to-day does notprovide me with many opportunities to put on my very best. I know I can count on the holiday season for at least one good party(though hopefully more than that) to validate the purchase of something festive. The December issue of Lucky featured some excellent party-ready looks, which got me thinking about what I'm excited to wear this year.

As always, I turned to some of my favorite independent designers for inspiration. The Sunday Brunch Dress Shopis a go-to for great frocks. The site features an assortment ofbeautiful pieces from small labels that always tempt me to pullout my wallet.

Another designer I adore is Jill Lindsey. Her pieces are always feminine, pretty, and fun. I also turn to Carol Hannahfrom Project Runway , who has her very own Etsy shop. Her "Dance with Me"Dress is exactly what I want to wear while doing just that: dancing thewinter night away with my boyfriend Andy.
