Hello! I am so excited to be here posting on Lucky Right Now. Your responses to the magazine have already been wonderful and I am thrilled to be blogging on the site. As I said on my blog, I've been bitten by the holiday bug a little early this year so, over the course of the week, I'll be posting about my favorite holiday clothing, accessories, and gifts.
I don't know about you, but I always use the holiday season as an excuse to buy a new party dress. See, I love getting all dressed up--but my regular day-to-day does not provide me with many opportunities to put on my very best. I know I can count on the holiday season for at least one good party (though hopefully more than that) to validate the purchase of something festive. The December issue of Lucky featured some excellent party-ready looks, which got me thinking about what I'm excited to wear this year.
As always, I turned to some of my favorite independent designers for inspiration. The Sunday Brunch Dress Shop is a go-to for great frocks. The site features an assortment of beautiful pieces from small labels that always tempt me to pull out my wallet.
Another designer I adore is Jill Lindsey. Her pieces are always feminine, pretty, and fun. I also turn to Carol Hannah from Project Runway, who has her very own Etsy shop. Her "Dance with Me" Dress is exactly what I want to wear while doing just that: dancing the winter night away with my boyfriend Andy.
