Last week, I saw Good Hair : hands down one of the funniest movies I've seen in a really long time. Chris Rock interviews everyone from movie stars to salon owners to Maya Angelou; the movie culminates at a major hair show in Atlanta and the show's main attraction, a hair styling contest. (At one point, my stomach started to hurt from laughing so hard.)

And while Rock is one of the funniest people ever, he isn't stealing the scene every two seconds; the characters and their stories are the point. It's so funny, but at the same time honest and heart-warming (especially when he talks about his daughters), and definitely worth seeing. (It got a 95% on RottenTomatoes, and that NEVER happens.)
