I spent the holiday with family in California and missed Black Friday completely, unless you count the Vie Luxe St. Barth's candles I ordered that morning via Deal of the Day. I'm hoping to make up for it today though--there are so many tempting 24-hour deals going on at the moment. Here, a round-up of some of the things I'm debating putting in my online shopping cart (including a silk throw pillow, originally $80 and marked down right now to $7!!!):

I'm not sure if this is a common affliction but every now and then the shopping floodgates open and I spend an entire weekend acquiring things I don't really need. Like someone who should be in a 12 step program, it usually starts with a little "gateway" purchase on Saturday morning as I'm coming back from the gym and then devolves into a full-on shopping bender by Sunday afternoon. As you've probably guessed, I'm confessing this because I most definitely fell off the wagon this weekend. The good news, though, is that this binge really didn't end up costing all that much thanks to the concentration of chain stores where it just keeps getting easier to pick up designer-like wares at extremely reasonable prices.

Besides being a signature holiday season color, I might argue that red is one of those shades that looks great on just about everybody (particularly if it's a ruby-ish red). And for whatever reason, winter months seem like the most appropriate time to bust the color out. So seize the day!
