Jason Wu's New Cashmere for TSE
Designer Jason Wu, who became a bona fide household name less than a year ago when Michelle Obama donned his ivory gown for 10 inaugural balls, is branching out with a brand new collaboration with the cashmere mavens at Tse.
"Consisting of 15 looks, the partnership builds on a previously existing relationship between Wu andTse--which has produced the designer's knitwear for the last two seasons," reports Vogue UK. Wu's collection under Tse's umbrella will debut at New York Fashion Week next February.
"Tse's aesthetic is so different from my own, but that's one reason I wanted to do it," Wu says of the project. This isn't Tse's first designer collaboration; in the past, the fashion house has teamed with designers like Narciso Rodriguez, Victor Alfaro,Hussein Chalayan andRichard Chai.
Also in the works for Wu is a feature in Food & Wine magazine. Apparently, he is quite the aspiring pastry chef and was treated to an at-home macaron making lesson from the master--Francois Payard--which will be showcased in an upcoming issue of the magazine.-Alisa Gould-Simon
