Nicole Richie's Debut Shoe Line Gets Print & Platform Happy
While rumor has it that Victoria Beckham may soon be adding handbags and shoes to her namesake line, another celebrity-turned-fashion designer has beat her to the punch. Nicole Richie launched footwear as part of her already wildly successful accessories collection, House of Harlow 1960. (And as if she doesn't have enough on her plate, the former reality TV star and mother of two is also introducing her first-ever full clothing line, called Winter Kate, come spring). Two images of the shoes have been released, and we're loving them.
Stylist ran the first photos, which feature "peep-toe booties with trendy geometric cutouts and tribal-looking patterns...and sky-high peep-toe platforms with a contrasting whipstitched diamond print running down the back of the heel."
The shoes--which range from moccasins to the high-heeled pairs pictured above--have a decidedly bohemian feel, complementing the rest of Richie's '60s and '70s-inspired line perfectly. They will hit stores in January of 2010, though specific retailers have yet to be released.-Alisa Gould-Simon
