Party dress: Under $100

So I hit Lucky Shops last night (and umm, again this morning) like some sort of crazy possessed person (I bought three Clu tops and two pieces from Gary Graham within the first 15 minutes). While I love everything I snapped up, the main thing on my shopping list didn't get crossed off: Party dresses. Every year it's the same song--weekends that are packed with three and sometimes even four events. I don't know why New Yorkers like to do all of their entertaining for the entire year between December 1 and December 21, but this just seems to be the case. And every year, I feel like I don't have anything to wear (that's a lot of outfits!).

Spanish retailer Mango has lots of cute dresses on offer right now--I lovethis turquoise dressbecause it's actually really versatile. Super sexy on its own (thanks to a slinky cut and a waist-cinching wrap) or with black opaque tights (thank you for the suggestion Emily, I was JUST thinking about refurbishing my hosiery drawer this morning), or layered over something as surprising as a black turtleneck. This Adam Lippes-designed creation is another contender, though I think it might be a little too glittery. Plus, it's $40 more--and after my shopping spree last night (did I mention that I also bought a Mara Hoffman coat?), every dollar counts!
