So I was chatting with a woman this weekend, who had the most ingenious online shopping strategy. Want me to tell you what it is?

She puts items in her Amazon shopping cart and then waits for them to drop in price, at which point an alert shows up (it happens! all the time!). And since you can buy practically everything--deodorant, cuisinarts, clothing--on Amazon, she's managed to save a ton of money over the years. Also, she went in for Amazon Prime, so she gets free two-day shipping on everything (Disclaimer: It's not exactly free - you pay $79 a year). But if you're willing to wait, you can always just opt for the free Super Saver Shipping.

I think that's pretty brilliant.
