Understated Party Tops--Always A Good Idea!
There are many ways to transition an outfit from work to evening (lose the tights, take off the cardigan or jacket, etc.) but I personally love it when there's no transition needed--i.e. the party-ready embellishments are so subtle, that they work in an office environment, too.
Case in point, this drape-y top from Vera Wang's collection for Kohl's--I love the delicately worked neckline, and the cut of the blouse itself is really feminine and flattering. I'd pair this with black cropped jeans and some heels. Or more straightforward black pants if you work in a conservative office.
And if you want the "bling" factor to be even more understated, don't forget about the accessory component to the collection. The earrings run for about $20, and they're so good--they look about 10 times as expensive in real life. I was just trying them on this morning (we did a Today show segment about designer collaborations).
