Whoa! So Awesome, and Yet So Simple!
I know I've been yammering on a bit too much about my love for Madewell boots (I STILL wear the ankle boots almost every day, rotating the grey with the black), but I just saw another pair on Shopbop that I think I have to own.
They're flat, of the prettiest brown shade, and...lined with shearling! It's like a really elegant version of an Ugg. I'm so shearling-fixated that I even tracked down a pair of shearling-lined Nike blazers, which I wear when I'm scouting during winter months. They're not the prettiest things, but it's absolutely imperative that my toes stay warm (I used to be a competitive skier, and frostbit my toes--they're permanently damaged and turn white at the smallest hint of chill).
Anyway, at $275 I feel like they're fully justified in terms of cost-per-wear. Granted, I'd rather spend a lot less, but I think this might be the most brilliant solution for winter footwear, ever.
