The Exact Point Where Music and Fashion Intersect

I am embarrassed to admit this, but I live in New York, work in Times freaking Square, and I never go to the theater. Ever. It's a ridiculous fact, considering I only need to walk about 10 feet to see an incredible show, and it figures that it would take a new cashmere line to drag me out to the Shubert last night to see Memphis, a new musical about the South, race, and music in 1950s.

So how does a musical land in the fashion realm? Yes, lead actor Chad Kimball and his cast belt out some rollickingmusic eight times a week, but when he's not onstage, Chad is working on histwo clothing lines: Obvious Clothing, a T-shirt line, and the new Lolly Cashmere,a cute printed knitwear line. If Chad weren't so totally sweet anddown-to-earth (Hosting a bunch of fashion editors in his dressing room afterthe play? Wow.), I would hate him for being so damn multi-talented.

First, the musical is amazing so if you're in NYC... GO SEE IT! If Broadway isn't an option, check out his cute T-shirt line and wait (with baitedbreath) for his cashmere to hit stores. Stay tuned as they're insales meetings now and I'm sure they will be on shopbop.com before you can say "Huckadooooooooooo!!!!" (No idea what that means? See the musical.)
