Fashion Director Rave: Shopping Comptoir des Cotonniers

I was given an amazing holiday treat yesterday: the charming VP of the uber-chic French chain, Comptoir des Cotonniers invited me to their Soho store to pick out a gift. For anyone who doesn't know Comptoir, which is new to the US, it's a collection of clothing and accessories that epitomizes the Lucky -favorite vibe of casual, slouchy, French cool-girl.

From the store's online lookbook

While the pieces are generally simple and the colors are muted, it'sall tweaked in a way that makes you feel like you could pass for anative if you were strolling through the 6th arrondisement. As Iconfessed in this space last month, I at times have a problem withportion control when it comes to shopping. So, as I was generouslygifted an absolutely perfect coat (super-fitted on top and a slightbell from the waist down), I then gifted myself an additional 4 thingsincluding the best sherpa-lined army green anorak. Note: Thecompany doesn't have e-commerce yet but many pieces are on thewebsite and can be ordered through the New York store.
