Emu Oil: Fighting the Good Fight Against Winter Hair Woes
Before I discovered Janet Waddell (her hairstyling resume includes Vidal Sassoon and John Barrett) and her fabulous new haircare line, I didn't know that a) most shampoos are 80% water and b) emu oil is the beauty secret Australians have been keeping under wraps for, oh, centuries. (Aborigines, to be exact--because who else can get their hands on emus?)

Janet has brought emu oil (which has traditionally been used forsoft, glowing skin) to us by way of her nutrient-rich line. (Note her shampoo is only 10% water--and 90% we're-going-to knock-the-damage-right-out-of-your-hair ingredients.)
Suffice it to say, I'm hooked. Considering blustery winter weather is officially upon us (and thus the need for extra hair Rx), I'm happy to report a heavy dependence on Waddell's new shampoo and conditioner. So if you've winterized your wardrobe, why not extend the courtesy to your beauty routine? Your hair will thank you for it. -Maureen Dempsey
