Michelle Obama Style Inspiration Spawns eBay Extravaganza

I was having one of those odd, in-your-head fashion moments this morning where I thought, "Michelle Obama always wears weird cardigans, but they always look really good and chic, I wonder if the weird cardigan look could work for me?"

And then I found this striped Abaete greatnesson eBay for a reasonable (though, I know, not bargain basement) price. And I realized the lady is on to something. This sweater could make everything from my most simple leggings to a pleated skirt to even beat-up jeans look interesting and stylish and like I actually tried (but not too much).

Next, because eBay remains my favorite boondoggle in all of the land, I searched for other Abaete pieces and tracked down a gorgeous silk skirt(starting bid, $9.97!), a fun leopard-print frock, this strikingly slinky party dress (perfect for skinnies--someone who's a size XS please buy this and report back) and these playful little coral-colored slip-on sneakers, which I don't need now, but would be awesome next summer with bare legs and a printed vintage dress.
