Jeggings: The Best Style I've Tried

My colleague Melissa recently blogged about her love affair with the jegging and I thought I'd throw my two cents in. Jeggings are hands down the biggest trend in denim the last year (and get my vote for worst style name ever). I've test driven a pile of these stretchy wonders. Some don't give enough, some are "sticky" (where the fabric is so soft it catches the wooly sweater you've paired it with) some are so thin they don't give the "holding in" benefit of a jean. Some are pull-on, others are zip fly. There are a lot to choose from.

The best jegging I've found so far is from Citizens of Humanity. It'scalled the Avedon Slick Skinny Leg, and the fabric is thick enough topass as a real jean, but literally the softest denim fabric you willever put on your legs. These super stretchy miracles are styled likean actual jean, with five pockets and an actual zip fly, which I love(although it's mostly decorative- I just pull 'em on). I have twowashes- black and inky blue, and they are my go-to when I wear bootsbecause they don't scrunch up or look baggy. Barney's, RevolveClothing and Shopbop carry them, and they are the best addition to mywardrobe this winter.
