Target Spreads Secret Holiday Gift Cards Across NYC Today

Feel like going on a holiday scavenger hunt? If so, $500 could be in your future. While you slept last night, little Target elves spread 500 oversized red gift tags across Manhattan. If you spot one today, snap it up and take it to Target's To Go shop (at Gansevoort and Washington Streets), and in return, you'll receive a gift card worth anywhere from $10 to $500.

It's up to you to regift it to someone else (in true holiday spirit) or keep it all to yourself (not quite holiday spirit--but much more fun). Because really, now: Who doesn't love a gift card?

Bonus: For every price tag returned, Target will donate $100 The Salvation Army.The one-day event (today!) has been designed to get shoppers to head over to Target's new To Go Shop, which promises customers quick, hassle-free shopping. (I could definitely use some of that.) The To Go shops land in New York City; San Francisco; and Washington, D.C. December 11th-13th with hot holiday items.
