Under $10 Eco Stocking Stuffer

I just received one of these staple-free staplers as a gift and think it's kind of genius. This is precisely the sort of thing that everyone can use, plus it's cute and cheap and serves up a fresh take on conservation.

It basically acts as a hole punch that cuts out slivers of paper and folds them back up to bind the sheets together. It's really quite rudimentary as far as gadgets go, but it's a cool innovation nonetheless. Roughly the size of a golf ball, it's way smaller than a conventional stapler so you save on desk space. Since there are no actual staples to contend with, you never have to worry about running out of supplies or pricking yourself on a sharp edge. And there's something charming and tactile about the chubby, petite design too. Also: they're available in a bunch of colors and ring in at an awesomely affordable $5.99.
