Beauty Editor Secret to Perfect Brows for Less Than $10

As soon as I leave work today I'm going to an Indian threading salon to get my eyebrows done. It's cheap no matter where you go--I'm in Manhattan, and brows are usually $7-$9; upper lip, $5), super-quick, and really, really good. And it doesn't hurt--I mean, you FEEL it for sure, but it's no worse than tweezing. Threading is also ideal for people who can't wax because they're on Retin-A or Accutane (or just have really sensitive skin) (or a freakish aversion to wax) (stay with me).

I have no friggin' idea how threading technically works, since my eyes are always closed (though of course, there's always a YouTube video). Not that I'd ever, ever be able to thread myself. I mean, there are there are some very cool-looking DIY threading kits. YOU could probably master them eventually; I just know that I wouldn't. I was the kid at camp who couldn't make friendship bracelets; now I'm the adult who can't drive. That sort of thing.

If you haven't tried threading, try it--just get your brows done; nothing fancy. And if you have been threaded, what did you think?
