Lacoste and Married to the Mob celebrated their sneaker collaboration Monday with afternoon tea--something perhaps even more surprising than a partnership between the preppy staple and a sexy streetwear label. Married to the Mob designer Leah McSweeney played hostess while guests sipped Earl Grey and indulged in delicate finger sandwiches and miniature creme brulees. Not exactly what you'd expect from Married to the Mob ("Mob," by the way, stands for "Most Official Bitches"). We loved the irony of the whole idea, from setting to scene to shoes.
The sneakers, available in black lace-covered metallic purple or gold, are $120 and will hit mttmnyc.com and stores--including Collette in Paris and select Lacoste stores--February 13th.
