Backstage Beauty: Minimal Makeup at Thakoon
The artists at Thakoon kept it simple and fresh-faced. "We focused on a strong brow and highlighted the eyes to show depth and boldness in a way that wouldn't fight with the various textures, layers, and colors of the collection," said lead NARS artist Diane Kendal.
For the cheeks, artists applied NARS Douceur blush. On the eyes, they used Coconut Grove single eyeshadow to create a bold brow, Tzarine duo eyeshadow (a gold to highlight the brow bones and a gray swept on the lids) along with Portobello duo eyeshadow for a barely-there glow. Lips were kept neutral with Tashkent Pure Matte lipstick.
All products debut fall 2010. If you're looking for similar shades available now, try NARS blush in Lovejoy or Madly Blush, Bali single eyeshadow for the Coconut Grove, and the Orgasm Illuminator for the Tzarine Duo. For lips, Belle de Jour velvet matte lip pencil has a similar effect.
