Fashion Week Scorecard: BCBG

The Scene: Fashion Week has officially started! BCBG was this season's first show at the Bryant Park Tents and everyone was buzzing and excited for it to begin. And although it's still slushy outside, the fashion crowd didn't disappoint. We spotted editors decked out in stacked platform heels, faux fur vests, and huge sunglasses.

The Celebs: Max Azria fan and Misshapes DJ Leigh Lezark, a back-to-red hair Maggie Rizer, Michelle Williams of Destiny's Child, and actress Keke Palmer.

The Look: Described as a "techno-age urban journey" and a "clean and modern approach to fashion," the color scheme was mostly neutral (chocolate brown, cream, and taupe) with pops of navy blue and mustard. The collection was filled with color-blocking, asymmetry, billowy layering, and galactic prints; many looks were cinched at the waist with a wide belt.

Accessories included black, olive, and taupe ankle strap heels and booties, and oversize envelope clutches. Models sported messy buns and minimal make-up.

What We Loved: The last four looks--beautiful, dark yet fairytale-esque dresses with tulle and a splattering of silver sequins--stole the show. The cool slouchy black trousers (pictured above) also stood out.

As a parting gift, the label's Twitter announced that if you spend $300 at their Fifth Avenue store you'll score an exclusive runway gift bag!
