Maison Moschino: The Latest Designer Hotel (Plus Some Cute Luggage to Accompany You There)
If you're looking for full fashion immersion, consider heading to Milan--but not for Fashion Week. Maison Moschino opened its doors yesterday, offering its guests an unconventional take on the standard hotel experience. (Turns out, that lobby floor lamp was a Moschino dress in a former life.)

The designer hotel theme is definitely trending: Hotel Missoni launched in Scotland in mid 2009; Armani's first hotel opened last month in Dubai. The amenities and services at Maison Moschino are, as one would expect, impressive. Perfectly styled details (Ruching! Draping! Applique!) seem to be the focal point of the 65 rooms, and the building itself has a story to tell: It was Milan's first railway station. A fitness area houses a pool, a "massage zone," and a Turkish bath. (Side note: I would like a "zone." Any kind will do.)

The lobby's boutique sells everything used in the hotel, from bedding, armchairs, and lamps to the dishware in the restaurant.

And in celebration of the hotel's opening, Moschino will launch the "Lost and Found" luggage line in June.
