The One Purchase I Never Regret

So I went to London last week for a few days, and naturally, I had to work a little bit of shopping into the itinerary. This is because one of my go-to spots actually beats the exchange rate. It's French Sole, or London Sole as it's called here in the United States. They really do turn out the very best ballet flats in a veritable Crayola 64-pack of colors (though I admittedly bought some pretty basic black leather Henrietta's, to replace a worn-out pair). I like Henrietta's the best, because they're low-cut in the front and very narrow.

So this is where it gets confusing. French Sole has two outposts in the United States (one in Santa Monica, and the other in San Francisco) under the London Sole name, with a fully operational e-commerce site, but I think it's cheaper to order from the British site (particularly if you order three pairs, since shipping is then free). There's a French Sole in New York that sells ballet flats as well, but it's a completely separate company. A puzzle yes, but totally worth figuring out!
