For My Alternate Life...

I find that I am a selfless shopper. Sounds really nice right? By that, I just mean that I'd much rather meditate on why someone else should buy something, rather than how I'm going to justify shoving another dress, or another pair of jeans into my overflowing closet. Plus, as my style has evolved (ahem, it hasn't evolved that much), I've pretty much given up on pushing myself into new trends or looks. I know what works for me and I'm quite satisfied with the results (straight jeans, lots of buttondowns, lots of blazers, and some eccentric accessorizing). But I still feel the pull of the new, which is why I'm imagining how I (or more specifically, you) might wear this dress.

I was in California for a quick second this weekend, where it was brilliantly clear and warm--and for the briefest of moments, I wanted to wear something short, like this awesomely graphic dress from Fred Flare. I would likely layer it over a t-shirt for extra daytime coverage, though. In another life.
