My 7-Day Pants Challenge: Day 6
I'm working the lace angle again today. Lace pants are, to me, the ultimate luxury. But when deciding what to wear with them, I had a shocking realization: I need more tops. A lot more: statement tops, tops of different lengths--different pants require very different tops.
These are made of a hefty black lace, and sheer to my upper thigh. I always like contrast with my outfits: masculine and feminine; ruffles and tailoring; sexy and conservative. Lace pants are sexy, so I paired them with tweedy round-toe flats. And, channeling my inner Tina Chow, I wore them with a long, borrowed-from-the-boys silk blazer and slim tunic top. Very slick, slightly '80s. Perfect, I think, for a chic cocktail party or dinner out.
